Mr Kebba Colley is the Director of Emerging Markets at IDH, with the overall responsibility for provision of the strategic leadership on partnership, business developments, program design, implementation and operations across emerging markets in India, Africa and Brazil. Setting up the vision and strategic direction for systems change in transformation of local, regional agriculture value chains and adaptation of climate change. His role also includes responsibility for investment development supporting financial institutions in the emerging markets to increase their investments into SMEs and small holder farmers. Growing domestic and regional trade as well as the South-South cooperation.

Prior to joining IDH, Mr Colley worked for Royal Ahold (one of Europe’s largest retailers) in Amsterdam and ICA Sweden, where he developed Ahold’s sustainability and emerging supplier sourcing strategy enabling more direct business relationships. Operationalised it and rolled it out across Ahold’s operating companies in The Netherlands, Sweden and Belgium. Mr Colley also led the practical implementation of the strategy throughout the supply base in Asia, Africa and South America.

Mr Colley was also a senior advisor at the African Union Development Agency (NEPAD) in Johannesburg on agri-business development, policy reforms, trade development and investment.

Mr Colley holds an M.B.A from Södertörn University in Stockholm, Sweden, from 2007.
