Prasanna Rao is co-founder and CEO of India’s largest grain commerce platform, Arya.ag. Leveraging its technology stack, Arya.ag has optimised its processes to provide users with a seamless experience from storage to commerce. Prasanna and his team work with stakeholders across the value chain, including smallholder farmers, FPOs, small aggregators and agribusiness corporations, to create equitable agri-value chains, assuring inclusive growth and greater transparency.

Prasanna completed his post-graduation in Rural Management from the Institute of Rural Management, Anand, in 1999, and brings over 20 years of experience in cooperative marketing, FMCG sales, and agri-financing. During his 8-year stint at ICICI Bank, the largest private-sector bank in India, Prasanna headed its Agri-commodity finance business. He has been a part of the supply chain, marketing and sales teams of organisations like Amul and Coca-Cola in India. He is a Chevening Financial Services Fellow from King’s College, London.
